FARIDA EL GHANDOUR, MSC.
Therapist
Farida El Ghandour holds an MSc in Mental Health and Clinical Psychology from London South Bank University in the UK and a Bachelor degree in psychology from the American University in Cairo. She has recently become an international affiliate member of the American Psychological Association.
In England, Farida received training at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in London as part of her program.
She has experience working with young adults, adults, and adolescents from different backgrounds and cultures.
She implements an eclectic symptom-led approach which helps her tailor her therapeutic process to every client’s needs and unique experiences.
Her Techniques include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy, psychodynamic approaches, as well as motivational interviewing.
Due to her years of working as a therapist at the Behman Hospital, she developed extensive work experience and interest in the area of addictions and substance misuse problems.
Farida is particularly trained to help clients work on their inner conflicts, issues related with their self-esteem, unhealthy coping mechanisms, anger problems as well coping with difficult emotions, depressive symptoms, anxieties and grief.
Miss El Ghandour is comfortable in conducting sessions in both Arabic and English.
